Ocean City Vacation

We went to Ocean City, Maryland and had so much fun!  Katelyn saw the ocean for the first time and we all had a great week...

Katelyn jumped with excitement when she first saw the ocean...
check out the height this kid got in the air

One of Katelyn's favorite things to do at the ocean is make "Mud Puddles".
She digs a huge hole near the water and when the water comes in and fills the hole up, she loves to jump into the water-filled hole.

Watch out for the shark!

We had fun exploring the Boardwalk

This was the Ferris Wheel we all rode on

These were the amazing views from atop the Ferris Wheel

We rode the Tram from our hotel to the beginning of the boardwalk.  It took about a half hour to get from one end to the other.  It was a relaxing and nice way to see everything!

Katelyn's favorite thing about the boardwalk were the games, we had to limit her to a couple games per day...I must say she was pretty good and she ended up with many stuffed animals!

Katelyn hitching a ride on Daddy's shoulders...nice way to travel!

Cooling off and getting refreshed with an ice-cream cone

When Katelyn wasn't jumping waves and digging in sand at the ocean, she spent alot of her time in the swimming pool

About 2 blocks from our hotel was an amazing amusement park called The Jolly Roger...which was kinda cool because Katelyn loves pirates so this was right up her alley

Katelyn went on as many rides as she could...

She liked the tea cups ride....she did this one several times

Katelyn loved every ride EXCEPT this one...it went really fast around the turns and the car whipped around the curves!  She was not a happy camper after this ride :(

Luckily she found another ride and was in happy spirits again

On the long drive back home, the DVD player kept Katelyn happy... and Mommy and Daddy sane :)
We had several Princess, Strawberry Shortcake and Dora DVD's just in case we needed a rescue and they definitely came in handy.
